The number 8 stands for new beginnings and the number 7 stands for completion. At the beginning of every new year, resolutions are made to improve on ones personal life. There are personal financial resolutions made also. However, to start the 2008 off right I am going to set goals instead. Goals are essential to obtaining your personal financial freedom.

2008 Personal Financial Goals

1. Make a budget and stick to it.

2. Pay off all of my credit card debts.

3. Build an emergency savings account of at least $1500

4. Make the maximum contribution of $5000 into my Roth IRA account.

These goals will be re-evaluated again at the end of June to make sure that I am on the right path to obtaining my 2008 personal financial goals. It is not going to be easy, however it has to be done.
